사람 냄새 나는 곳
그 옛적 보따리 무역을 할 때
좌절의 소주잔에 눈물 떨어지는 곳
남대문 경동시장의 삶 터
살아야 된다는 생존의 의지
파도를 치며
태평양이 용틀임하더라
그 카페 커피숍은
9시에서 9시까지
나는 마신다
인종 동물원의 애환을 아로히 새긴다.
15 년 전 한 달 간 이탈리아의 관광 여행
그때의 이탈리아 피자 맛 산타루치아의 피자를 처음 만들어낸 피자 맛
나폴리항을 끼고 매일 유람선이 6.7척이 정박한
세계의 미항
나폴리 항의 유람선의 여행객은 떠나도
싼타루치아의 피자 맛과 마피아의 전설은 행랑객의 걸음을 멈추게 한다
그 때 그 곳의 피자 맛 그대로 칼가리 이탈리아 피자 집에
이 아둔한 탁란의 울음소리
피자 커피에 정이 4년째 뿌리를 내린다
오늘 2026년 4월 19일
베네치아에서 나의 전 가족이 곤돌라를 타고.
오 쏠레미오와 산타루리치아를 목청 높이며 부르던 추억에 잠긴다
아들은 Dad Come on stop it을 외치고 나의 며늘아기는 아버님 Go Ahead을 외친다
창문을 열고 여기 저기 집 주인이 나와 같이 합창을 한다.
독창이 합창으로 베네치아를 적신 추억이 새롭다
즐겁던 희미한 엣 추억 내 인생 9순을 바라보며 이 하루가 절박하게 귀한 시간
이탈리아 센터의 마지막 생존의 둥지 캘거리의 낭만과 조용한 안식처
카페 종업원들의 친절한 봉사 커피맛과 피자에 넘처나고
불황의 경제 속에서도 이탈리아란 나라의 문화 예술의 보금자리
캘거리의 자랑 한번 찾으면 다시 가고 싶은 곳
영원히 빛나고 사업 대성을 기원하는 이 나그네 매주3번 이상 찾는 곳
200불 인생이 보슬비 오는 창가에 홀로 앉아 향수와 한과 고독을 벗하며
내 생존의 뒤안길은 소리 없는 눈물로 다듬에 진다
인생살이 아무 것도 아닌데 허허로운 웃음
인종 동물원 문화 예술 풍성하게

<Cafe Italian Centre>
A place thick with the scent of humanity
Back in the old days of bundle trading
A place where tears fell into cups of sorrowful soju
The living grounds of Namdaemun and Gyeongdong Market
The sheer will to survive
Crashed like waves,
As the Pacific Ocean surged with a mighty twist
That cafe, that coffee shop
Open from 9 to 9
I drink there
Deeply engraving the joys and sorrows of this human zoo.
A month-long sightseeing trip to Italy 15 years ago
The taste of Italian pizza back then—the flavor of Santa Lucia, where pizza was first born
Nestled by the Port of Naples, where six or seven cruise ships docked every single day
One of the world’s most beautiful harbors
Even when the travelers on the Naples cruise ships depart,
The taste of Santa Lucia pizza and the legends of the Mafia hold back the footsteps of the wanderers
That very same pizza taste, just as it was back then, is here in this Calgary Italian pizza place
The weeping cry of this foolish, misplaced bird—
For four years now, my affection has taken root in this pizza and coffee
Today, April 19, 2026
I lose myself in the memory of my whole family riding a gondola in Venice,
Singing ’O sole mio and Santa Lucia at the top of our lungs
My son shouts, "Dad, come on, stop it!" while my daughter-in-law cheers, "Father, go ahead!"
Opening their windows, neighbors here and there join in, singing along with me.
The memory of that solo turning into a chorus, soaking the streets of Venice, feels so fresh
Fading, joyful memories of the past—as I look toward my 90th year of life, each passing day feels desperately precious
The last nest of survival at the Italian Centre, Calgary's romance and quiet sanctuary
The kind service of the cafe staff overflows in the taste of the coffee and pizza,
Even in an economic downturn, it remains a cradle for the culture and art of a country called Italy
The pride of Calgary—a place you want to return to once you’ve visited
May it shine forever and achieve great business success; this traveler visits at least three times a week
A 200-dollar life sits alone by a window where a gentle rain falls, making friends with nostalgia, deep regrets, and loneliness
The path behind my survival is refined by silent tears
Life is nothing after all, I let out an empty laugh
A human zoo, rich with culture and art
The scent of humanity, the scent of humanity
